3 BENEFITS OF CARDIO KICKBOXING FOR WOMEN

Cardio kickboxing has been trending among women for the past couple of years.

Millions of women rely on kickboxing as there main source of fitness because of its many benefits, both physically and mentally.

Here are a just a couple of reasons why so many women have become interested in cardio kickboxing.

STRESS RELIEF

Stress is your bodies natural response to physical, mental, or emotional changes.

It can occur from pressures at work, relationship problems, or even a chemical imbalance, but everyone experiences stress and it is important to know that stress can be harmful to your health.

Stress affects how you lose/gain weight, can induce headaches and depression, and can even predispose us to diseases such as high blood pressure and heart disease.

Knowing all of these risk factors I have tried to relieve my own stress by reading, running, meditating, and even fasting, and although these have all proven to be successful for me, none have been more effective than kickboxing training.

Have you ever experienced a moment of stress and anger where you just felt like breaking something? Maybe you actually did break something and felt some relief afterward.

This relief is caused by a release of endorphin's. (Hormones in your brain that make you feel good) This release of endorphin's helps lower stress and eases depression.

You get this same satisfaction from every punch and kick thrown in kickboxing. Kickboxing gives people the chance to simultaneously release all of their negative energy while getting in shape, making it, in my opinion, the ultimate exercise.

WEIGHT LOSS

Kickboxing is one the best ways to lose weight.

Unlike other cardio exercises like running or swimming, kickboxing actually helps with toning muscle as well so people that are afraid of losing their current musculature in the process of losing weight should definitely look into kickboxing.

A pound of fat is equal to 3,500 calories, so to burn off 1-2 pounds a week (a healthy amount for someone looking to lose weight) they will need to burn 3,500 to 7,000 calories a week, and kickboxing is one of the biggest calorie burners out of all exercises.

Someone that weighs 175 pounds can burn up to 800 calories in just 60 minutes of kickboxing training, here is a picture of one of my clients after just 2 months of kickboxing training.

                           SELF DEFENSE

Its very important for women to be able to defend themselves, especially at the time were in now.

There are always reports on the news of women being attacked or taken advantage of by men. Men are scientifically more dominant than females physically, but if a woman learns how to fight she can better defend herself and even the playing field.

HERE is an article of a female kick boxer that actually subdued her attacker.
